Ms. Robertson is thrilled to be part of the Cheetah family. Ms. Robertson was born in London, England and moved to The Netherlands when she was five. She spent most of her formative school years attending The British School of The Netherlands and then moved to the Northern Virginia area where she attended high school, and she has remained in the area ever since. Ms. Robertson always knew she wanted to be a teacher and there wasn’t a better fit for her to continue this dream than at James Madison University where she received her undergraduate degree and her first Master’s in Education.
Ms. Robertson began her teaching career in 2012 with the unique opportunity of being part of the staff that opened Mason Crest Elementary School and drove the school to receive the first ever DuFour Award as a Nationally Recognized Professional Learning Community at Work. Ms. Robertson taught Second Grade, Kindergarten and Fifth Grade and was an integral part of the, MTSS team, Behavioral Team, leading the Equity Team, and facilitating progress monitoring structures creating a strong, positive community and culture of high levels of learning for all.
While teaching, Ms. Robertson continued her own love for learning and received her second Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from George Mason University in 2018.
Most recently Ms. Robertson has been serving as an Instructional Coach at Poe Middle School where she has been part of many leadership initiatives including the math leadership team, MTSS Core Team, Behavioral Team, and SOL Remediation Lead.
During her spare time, Ms. Robertson enjoys spending time with her family, using her creativity to get crafty, or adventuring to new places especially if there is a pool or beach around!
