|English Language Arts
|Outcome: Ensure students are making sufficient progress to be on grade level in English Language Arts.
The percentage of students identified as on or above grade level in grades 1-3 will increase by 10% as measured by iReady scores from fall 2023 to spring 2024.
Improve use of interactive read alouds for building knowledge and vocabulary through texts that affirm students' lived experiences.
Expand use of skills-based grouping to ensure students demonstrate mastery of foundational skills.
Increase intentional use of scaffolds, supports, and extensions in whole group settings (word recognition, language comprehension, and writing).
|Outcome: Ensure students are making sufficient progress to be on grade level in Mathematics.
The percentage of students indentified as on or above grade level in grades 1-6 will increase by at least 10% as measured by the iReady scores from fall 2023 to spring 2024. By June 2024 65% of our students will meet their growth goal as measured by the iReady diagnostics.
Increase teacher implementation of explicit instruction and other components of effective mathematics intervention.
Increase teacher implementation of strategies related to revealing student thinking.
|Outcome: Ensure students are attending school to support continued learning.
We will reduce our school's chronic absenteeism rate to 15% as evidenced by our chronic absenteeism data.
Understand root causes of student absenteeism. Strengthen pragmatic responses to attendance barriers.
Develop community partnerships to promote engagement opportuinties for increased student attendance.
|Science (School Selected)
|Outcome: Ensure students are making sufficient progress in Science.
The percentage of students passing the science SOL will increase to 70% or higher.
Increase opportunities to develop tier 3 vocabulary through inquiry-based learning, followed by explicit instruction.
Increase student access to high quality science instruction through sufficient time on the master schedule and use of up-to-date FCPS curriculum.
|Outcome: Ensure a positive school climate.
Discipline referrals for students will decrease by 10% as measured by discipline data.
Improve oppotunitites for families to learn about and communicate their ideas and needs regarding SEL competencies, protective factors, and mental health.
Establish MTSS schoolwide and site intervention that review behavior/wellness data bi-monthly.
