Activities

Learn about the special activities students get to participate in at Cameron

KMRN Morning News Crew

morning news crew

Students that are part of the news crew create daily episodes that are viewed by the entire school. Our crew takes turns anchoring, sharing daily meal menus and fun facts, and creating features for special events. They use Canva for Education to design and edit their episodes.

Student Council Association

Student representatives in grades 5 and 6 were elected to one of three committees: Kindness Committee, Character Committee, and Spirit Committee. Our representatives are leaders in the school who organize events, share information, and serve as role models for our school community.

Chorus and Drum Circle

Students meet once a week to sing and drum together! They have performed at Winter and Spring concerts, as well as the Edison Pyramid Concert, and for school events like School-Wide Morning Meeting.

Band and Strings

Students in grades 4, 5, and 6 practice all year long to learn an instrument of their choice! They perform for the community at Winter and Spring concerts.

Safety Patrols

We love our Safety Patrols! They help keep Kiss and Ride students safe, and support best practices on our school buses.

STEAM

Students at Cameron are lucky to participate in STEAM lab (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) once every week for an hour as part of their Specials! They practice creative and critical thinking by solving complex problems, creating and designing structures, coding robots and animations, and more!
