Mr. Eric T Johnson, Principal and Ms. Amanda Snyder, Assistant Principal

Eric Johnson
Mr. Johnson was born in Newark, New Jersey and raised in Panama City, Florida. After completing his undergraduate work at Norfolk State University, Mr. Johnson pursued his teaching licensure at the College of Saint Elizabeth in New Jersey where his educational career began in 1994 as a teacher in middle and high school with the Archdiocese of Newark. He moved to the Washington DC metro area in 1999 and worked in Prince George’s County Public Schools and District of Columbia Public Schools as an elementary and reading teacher.
Mr. Johnson continued his education while teaching and earned a Master’s Degree of Reading Instruction from Trinity University in 2003 and Master’s Degree of Education Administration from George Mason University in 2008.
In 2003 Mr. Johnson joined Fairfax County Public Schools and served in several roles as Title I Reading Specialist at Woodley Hills Elementary, Assistant Principal of Westlawn Elementary, Assistant Principal of Bren Mar Park Elementary, Principal of Sleepy Hollow Elementary, and currently the proud Principal of Cameron Elementary as of 2020.
During his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and traveling. Football season is something he enjoys immensely as he cheers on his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys.

Amanda Snyder
Ms. Snyder was born in Fairfax Va. When she was a young child, her family moved to PA to be closer to relatives and she grew up playing with lots of cousins and extended family in central PA near Penn State University. She completed her undergraduate degree as a dual education major in Special Education and Early Childhood Education from Lock Haven University in PA.
Upon graduation, Ms. Snyder moved back to Fairfax and began working for FCPS in 2007. She initially taught primary NCE(Non-Cat) special education, but also has taught preschool class-based special education, co-taught special education classes, and many years as an Enhanced Autism(EAC) classroom teacher for primary grades. She has worked at Wakefield Forest ES and Sleepy Hollow ES. During her time in FCPS, she has also served in various leadership roles including Special Education Lead Teacher, MTSS Coordinator, and Local Screening Chair. Ms. Snyder won a FCPS Excellence Award for Outstanding Team Collaboration in 2013. She was also the recipient of Outstanding Teacher awards for her school in 2017 and 2020. Ms. Snyder also spent one year in Falls Church City Public Schools as a Special Education Administrator before returning to FCPS.
While teaching, Ms. Snyder completed two Master’s Degrees. The first was a Master’s Degree in Special Education emphasizing early development from infancy to age 8 from the University of Minnesota Moorhead. She also completed her Educational Administration, Supervision, and Leadership Master’s Degree from the University of Virginia in 2022.
Ms. Snyder enjoys travelling, spending time with friends and family, live music or shows, and ANYTHING beach or Disney related! In the fall you can find her cheering on her favorite football team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.

- Administrative Assistant II
Ms. Saravia has lived in Alexandria, VA all of her life. She is a huge soccer fan. Her favorite team is PSC, and when the weather is nice, you can catch her at Audi field watching a DC United game. She loves to travel - her favorite state is Florida because of the great weather and the proximity to the beach. She has two children; her daughter is at George Mason University studying finances and her son is at West Potomac High School. On the weekends she supports her son's soccer team. She is happy to be part of the Cheetah family.

Ms. Donlin is from Columbus, Georgia. Her husband is in the Army, and she and her family have been wanting to return to Northern Virginia ever since he was first stationed here -- she is so happy to be back. She loves spending time with friends and family, traveling, cooking, and shopping.
- Family Liaison
Ms. Trupo has lived in several countries, allowing her to understand other cultures and diversity better. Working for FCPS for 15 years has given her the knowledge and capacity to help families. Being a mother of 2 former FCPS students let Ms. Trupo be understanding and empathize with our FCPS families.
Helping and providing services is a passion of hers, as well as building relationships, which allows the school system to serve the student's necessities better and create school and family partnerships.
In her free time, she likes to workout -- dancing and Zumba are her favorite!
