At Cameron we believe that technology is a tool that supports our students in developing 21st-century skills such as collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. Classrooms are outfitted with laptops, iPads, document cameras and Smartboards. Additional equipment including iPads and laptop carts are available for teachers and students upon checkout. Students use technology daily within the classroom and visit Cameron's Technology Lab for classes upon a rotation schedule.
Students use a variety of software to support their learning. Cameron subscribes to Dreambox, an adaptive math software that personalizes instruction for each student. In Technology classes students use an online publishing program called Wixie that allows them to create videos, booklets, and trading cards by adding their writing, voice, and art projects. Cameron students have access to many eBooks in programs like myON, Tumblebooks, and PebbleGo. For a list of usernames and passwords to each of these programs, contact your child's teacher.
